This delightful whole-class lesson provides the basis for a weeks worth of oral language activities; containing a session overview, a well-known rhyme, independent worksheets and an oral language activity. The lesson begins with the teacher retelling the rhyme 'Pat-a-cake' to the classroom before working through a series of fun and interactive exercises. Activities include a 'Noisy or quiet?' initial sound sorting game, a 'Noun-verb' tossing game and a sentence work exercise.
