Counting tens and hundreds in 100s and 1 000s

The first activity in this unit asks students to calculate the how many Rugby World Cup tickets family members could buy if tickets cost $100 each. There are 12 questions on each of the two pages of this activity. Sticking with the sporting theme, the next activity asks students to calculate how many spectators went to each Commonwealth Games event based on the total amount spent on each event's ticket sales. In the third activity students need to work out how many phone cards have been sold each day based on the given daily totals and the knowledge that phone cards cost $10 each. The final activity contains a place value table on which students need to complete the tens, hundreds and thousands columns.
