What about deforestation?

This insightful lesson plan contains a learning outcome, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation, resources, learning sequences and a conclusion. The lesson focuses on students gaining an awareness of the the impact of deforestation around the world. After an eye-opening introduction from the teacher, the classroom brainstorms causes of deforestation. Next, students show prior knowledge by pairing off for a "rally-drive" activity. Lastly, students will research and write a piece on the problems of deforestation. The lesson concludes with time for the student to write in their learning log and reflect on their learning.
