What about loss of species?

This engaging lesson plan contains a learning outcome, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation, resources, learning sequences and a conclusion. By the end of the lesson students will have gained an awareness of the global loss of species. The teacher begins the lesson with an introductory talk on the prevalence of endangered species before reading a picture or non-fiction book about endangered animals. The last task requires students to conduct a class inquiry project. The lesson concludes with time for students to write in their learning log, as well as a discussion point for students to take home to their families!
