What is biodiversity?

This delightful lesson plan contains a learning outcome, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation, resources, learning sequences and a conclusion. Throughout the lesson students will gain an awareness of how fragile biodiversity is. After an introductory exercise the classroom will brainstorm local pests and predators and draw a "wanted" poster detailing the action required. In the final activity of the lesson students will conduct research about a local endangered animal in order to complete a homework task. The lesson concludes with time for the student to fill out a learning log and reflect on the lesson.
