Subtraction problems using strategy (A)
Throughout this unit students will practice breaking a whole number apart using place value to solve a series of subtraction equations, with the assistance of a number line. The students skill is then scaffolded to the next level as they will need to apply the same strategy to new questions without the assistance of a number line. Lastly, students will apply their strategy knowledge to help Kenneth calculate the number of butterflies he still needs to identify!
