Solve measurement problems involving weights
In the first activity in this unit, Baker Bill needs to double his biscuit recipe. Students need to show their working as they double each ingredient with varying weights. Next, students must answer three word problems about other ingredients Bill has. For example, 'Bill has 5 g of cinnamon in one container, and 8 g and 12 g in two other containers. How many grams of cinnamon does he have altogether?' The second activity follows the same pattern as the first, except this time students need to halve a recipe.
