Multiplication and division problems
In this unit students learn to use tidy numbers to solve multiplication and division problems. For example, 97 x 8 can be solved by making 97 a tidy number and then multiplying it by 8. Then multiplying the difference between 97 and 100 by 8 and subtracting this product from the first product. Answers are provided.
