Equivalent fractions

Students will enjoy these activities to reinforce their understanding of equivalent fractions for halves, quarters, thirds, fifths and tenths. In the first task there are 35 tins labelled with different fractions. students need to find and colour all the fractions equivalent to the specified fractions. Task two is similar, but uses the context of lollies and jelly beans. In the final exercise Matthew took his friends to The Pizza Place. Your students need to match the friends who ate the same amount of pizza as each other. All answers for this unit are provided.
