In the first exercise in this unit, your students need to help the children in each question cut their liquorice straps into quarters, e.g. if Joe has 6 liquorice straps, how many quarters will he have? Task 2 is similar except that this time the children need to share out orange juice. The final page in this unit contains three questions based on the context of a school fair. students need to complete each table by calculating how many times 1/2, 1/4 or 1/5 goes into the given whole numbers.
