Apply mental subtraction methods

This unit reinforces applying mental subtraction methods to almost 40 subtraction problems. In the first task students are required to work out which person on the Room 17 Reading Challenge chart read the most pages in one week. The second activity asks students to work out how long it has been since various items were invented. There is room at the bottom of this task for students to find out the age of some other inventions and then calculate how long they've been around.
