Solve subtraction problems using tidy numbers
In this unit students revise solving subtraction problems by performing equal additions that turn one of the numbers in the equation into a tidy number. For example, to solve the equation 248 - 99 = ___, students need to add +1 to 99, take away 100 from 248, then add +1 to the total. The first page of exercises provides 15 equations to solve. The second page uses real world examples of spending piggy bank money on various items.
