Understand place value in decimal numbers
The tasks on the first page of this unit ask students to place the given decimal numbers on a place value chart, write the value of a specific digit in a range of numbers and write the number names for decimals displayed on a place value chart. Activity two is all about identifying how many tenths and hundreds there are in a number. e.g. there are 624 hundredths in 6.24
