Recall grouping within 1 000

Three engaging tasks to practise grouping to 1 000. In the first activity students need to make each triangle equal 1 000. The first number in each triangle is given. Activity two requires students to make as many pairs of shoes that add up to 1 000 as possible and allows for extension by asking students to come up with their own combinations. Circling two or three numbers in each hat to add up to either 500 or 700 is the focus of the final activity.
