Working with two, three and five
A range of activities to practice working with multiples of 2, 3 and 5. Two dot-to-dot tasks using multiples of five with two and three digit number begin this unit. Activity two consists of a picture of 6 people. Students must count different things such as buttons and shoes in the picture, then write a multiplication sum using that number. Activity three continues this task, this time with a delightful picture of two donkeys. There are also exercises in which students divide given images into groups and write a corresponding equation. A tree full of pears needs to be divided between two farmers, the number of legs within a group of aliens calculated and a cauldron full of witch's brew created. Students will love these engaging activities!
