Making numbers with fives, tens and hundreds

A range of activities to practice making numbers with fives, tens and hundreds. Students draw a line between each pair of leaves that add up to 100 and colour each pair a different colour. They then write the number sentences for each pair based on an example. An additional fill-the-gaps activity provides further reinforcement. Pairs that make 1 000 i9s the focus of activity 3 as students match the mice to the correct block of cheese and finish the number sentences. Adding and subtracting 5s and 10s on a variety of flow charts complete this unit.
